RAYMOND MCCOY

Raymond McCoy, 73, of Richmond, MO died Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at the North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City, MO.
Raymond was born on April 12, 1941 in Stotts City, MO to Ralph and Hazel (Chastain) McCoy. He married Mary Margaret Clark of Kanas City, MO on August 21, 1956; she survives of the home.
Additional survivors include one daughter and one son-in-law, Kathy and Ken Jones of Richmond; one brother and one sister-in-law, Paul and Margaret McCoy of Carthage, MO; and one sister and one brother-in-law, Carolyn and Sherril Blakey of Kansas City, MO; three grandchildren, Kadyn Alan Jones, Samuel Alan Jones and Kendra Lorrene Jone and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, Raymond was preceded in death by one son, Ray Alan McCoy; one brother, James McCoy; and one grandson, Jason Alan McCoy Eads.
Raymond was a truck driver for Merrit Foods and ABF for several years before retiring in 2000. He was a member of the Teamsters Local Union #41. He was a member of the Shirkey Golf Association. He was a United States Army veteran. He was a member of the American Legion. Raymond was also a member of the Richmond First Baptist Church. He had lived in the Kansas City area before moving to Richmond in 1980.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
