RAYMOND ANDREW SKILES
Raymond Andrew Skiles, 79, of Richmond, Mo, died on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at the Liberty Hospital in Liberty, Mo.
Raymond was born on March 17, 1938 in Richmond, Mo to John William "Bill" and Margaret (Borden) Skiles. He married Barbara Walker of Richmond, Mo. They later divorced. He then married Delores Outersky of Richmond, Mo on May 13, 1972. She preceded him in death on April 4, 2011. Barbara preceded him in death on February 4, 2014.
Survivors include; 1 daughter, Shelby Linebach of St. Joseph, Mo, 1 sister, Deloras Cates of Hamilton, Mo, 4 grandchildren, Aubry Linebach, Dru Linebach and his wife, Bobbie Jo, Clay Linebach and Carson Irizarry. 2 grandchildren, Hannah Lowery and Henley Adams, his companion, Shirley Wheeler of Carrollton, Mo, a niece, Rhonda Richie and her husband, Roger, great niece Kristin Null and a great- great nephew, Gavin Null, 1 step daughter , Christie Williams of Richmond, MO, 2 step grandchildren, Amanda Bleibaum and her husband, Aaron, Christopher Mallott, 2 step great grandchildren, Rory and Crosby Bleibaum. Several cousins also survive.
Raymond worked at Lake City Arsenal for over 25 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Richmond First Baptist Church. He had served in the Missouri Army National Guard. Raymond loved old cars and music. He especially enjoyed family reunions. He was a lifelong Richmond resident.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Richmond First Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in the Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery.
