RETA Y. (SKILES) CHRONISTER

Reta Y. (Skiles) Chronister, 64, of Edwardsville, Ks, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2016 in Tyler, Tx.

Reta was born on September 9, 1952 in Lexington, Mo to Horace Andrew and Wanda Newatha (Bingham) Skiles, Sr. She married Dennis Chronister of Edwardsville, Ks on February 2, 2002. He survives of the home.

Additional survivors include; 1 son, William Edgar "Bill" Smith of Warrensburg, Mo, 1 daughter and son-in-law, Charleen Newatha and Tony Battagler of Richmond, Mo, 2 brothers and 2 sisters-in-law, Horace Andrew "Andy"  and Marlene Skiles of Richmond, Mo, Marty and Angie Skiles of San Marcos, Tx, 1 sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Kent Skalland of Kansas City, Mo, 3 grandchildren,  Meghan Stockton and her husband, Brandon, Travis Holt and Dillon Smith, 7 great-grandchildren, 1 stepson, Lucas Chronister and his wife, Amy of Dallas, Tx, 1 stepdaughter, Stacey Brown and her husband, Clint of Cheney, Ks, 7 step grandchildren and 1 step great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Reta was preceded in death by a sister, Rosemary Cobb.

Reta was an assistant purchasing manager for the Kellogg's Company. She was looking forward to traveling in their new motorhome with her husband, Dennis. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Reta was an avid NASCAR fan. She had lived in Edwardsville, Ks and Hardin, Mo most of her life.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Interment will be in the Hardin Cemetery.
