RICHARD ALAN "RICK" OYLER

Richard Alan "Rick" Oyler, 62, of Hardin, MO died Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, KS.

Rick was born on July 19, 1953 in Gettysburg, SD to Vernon Wayne and Wilma Louise (Ellis) Oyler. They preceded him in death.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Stacey Oyler of Hardin; one daughter and son-in-law, Amber and Andy Henke of Salisbury, MO; three brothers and three sisters-in-law, Donald Wayne and Sandy Oyler of Braymer, MO, David Lee and Sheila Oyler of Hardin and James Michael and Ella Oyler of Lee's Summit, MO; four sisters and four brothers-in-law, Carolyn Rose and Wayne Pugh of Hardin, Jeanne Anne and Steve Pulliam of Richmond, MO; Janet Louise and Kenny McNelly of Hardin and Catherine Joan and Ronald Sadler of Liberty; six grandchildren, Noah Johnson, Charlie Johnson, Carley Johnson, Dillon Oyler, Austin Oyler and Adyn Henke; and as well as numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Rick was a retired foreman brick layer. He was very particular with the quality of his work. He was a member of the BAC Local #15 of Kansas City, MO. He was an avid tractor puller. Rick lived in the Hardin area most of his life. He was of the Christian faith. Rick first attended Stet school and later attended Hardin-Central High School.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the Antioch Cemetery Association or to the Family's Choice.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery northeast of Hardin.
