Ricky Eugene Hall, 65, of Kansas City, formerly of Richmond, died Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at North Kansas City Hospital in Kansas City.
Ricky was born on September 6, 1957, in Richmond, the son of Lewy Virgil "Junior" and Barbara Ann (Whelchel) Hall, Jr. He was united in marriage to Diana C. Foland of Kansas City, formerly of Richmond, on August 16, 2008; she survives of the home.
Additional survivors include: mother, Barbara Hall of Richmond; son, Adam (Amy) Hall of Richmond; three daughters, Anita Hall of Richmond, Katrina (Mike) Manning of Odessa, and Stacy (Travis) Smith of Kansas City; 10 grandchildren, Paige (Nathan) Richey, Caleb Hall, Kane Robert, Keyshaun Elliott, Ethan Hall, Rylie Timmons, Lily Smith, Landon Smith, Paxton Hall, and McKinley Manning; 7 great-grandchildren: Makenzie Richey, Caiden Richey, Brexton Hall, Violet Hall, Elijah Hall, Grace Robert, and Kane Robert, Jr.; sister, Janet Hall of Richmond; two sisters-in-law, Elaine (Steve) Strider of Platte City, and Coleen (Mark) Pearson of Richmond; brother-in-law, Duane Foland; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his father, brother, Allen DeWayne Hall, and stepson, Daniel Timmons.
Ricky was reared and educated in the area of his birth and graduated from the Richmond High School, Class of 1976. He worked his entire life in concrete construction. Ricky started out working with his father, brother, and other family for Halls Brothers Construction in Richmond. He also worked for Garney Construction in Riverside for twenty years. He enjoyed fishing and boating with his family at Warsaw. He was avid local sports fan. He especially loved spending time with his kids, grandkids, family, and friends.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Lung Association. They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 East Main Street-P.O. Box 190, Richmond, MO 64085.
Visitation with funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, with visitation beginning at 1:00 P.M., with service to follow at 2:00 P.M.
