RICKY STAN "COL. RICK" WRISINGER
Ricky Stan Wrisinger, 60, of Richmond, MO, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at North Kansas City Hospital, North Kansas City, MO.
Rick was born on October 25, 1954 in Excelsior Springs, MO to Roy D. and Alberta (Rogers) Wrisinger. He married Laura Ann Rosewaren of Richmond on June 8, 1974. She survives of the home
Additional survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Shawna Wrisinger of Richmond; one daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Russell Pugh of Richmond; one sister and one brother-in-law, Bonnie and Jim Ruehter of Lexington, MO; and 5 grandchildren, Reece, Kennedy, Jackson and Maxwell Wrisinger and Autumn Pugh, also several foreign exchange students, who the Wrisinger's considered them as family.
In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by one brother, Gayle Wrisinger.
Rick was a 1973 graduate of the Richmond High School, where he was active on the varsity football team wining 1 state football championship. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from William Penn College in Oskaloosa, IA. He received his master's degree from C.M.S.U. He taught at the Orrick High School for over 20 years, retiring as Principal in 2008. Rick was a licensed Auctioneer for 37 years. He was owner of Wrisinger Auction Company, doing several charity auctions per year, where he felt like that was his way of giving back to the community. Rick was a member of the Sigma Phi Sigma Fraternity. He was a member of the Orrick Christian Church. Rick lived in the Camden and Richmond area's most of his life.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made either to the Orrick Christian Church, Ray County Board of Services or to the Rick Wrisinger Senior Student Scholarship Fund.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 10: 00 a.m. at the Richmond First Baptist Church. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 14, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in the Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery.
