Ricky Joe Thompson, call sign "Nøhke", 66, of Richmond, died Friday, December 23, 2022, at his home.

Ricky was born on September 1, 1956, in Noel, the son of James R. and Connie L. (Heart) Thompson.  He was united in marriage to Kimberley J. Proctor of Minneapolis, MN, on December 4, 1981; she preceded him death on February 9, 2019.

Survivors include: one daughter, Vanessa Ann Thompson of Richmond; two sisters: Cindy Kohler and Lisha Harris; and his cat, Hazel.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Ricky was a 1974 graduate of McDonald County High School where he was a member of the ROTC.  He attended Missouri Southern University.  Ricky proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for ten years.  He worked for the United States Postal Service from 1987 to 2002.
