Robert "Bob" Andrew Bowen 80, a resident of Richmond passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023. Bob was born on September 29, 1942, in Atlanta, GA to Robert Edwin and Minnie Katherine (Owen) Bowen. He was married to Janice Wilson of Richmond on June 26, 1970, she preceded him in death on September 12, 2020.

Bob is survived by one son, Robert Dean Bowen of Blue Springs; three daughters, Sarah Bowen of Richmond, Patty (Angela DeVine) Bowen of Murphysboro, IL, and Becky (Shane Boutz) Bowen of Kansas City; two grandchildren, Izac and Dustin Bowen; and one great granddaughter, Hazel Bowen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one sister, Joan Gunter.

Bob was educated in Richmond and was a graduate of Richmond High School class of 1960. He went on to work for MODOT for forty-three years until retirement. Bob was a devote member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Richmond and the Knights of Columbus Council number 1998 in Richmond. He was devoted to his family and was the gentlest man you would ever meet. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

Visitation with a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Richmond on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Rosary to be prayed at 10:30 a.m. during visitation.  Inurnment in Todd's Chapel Cemetery will be held at a later date.
