ROBERT H. "BOB" HURLEY

Robert H. "Bob" Hurley, 84, of Higginsville, MO, died Saturday, May 28, 2001, at his daughter's home in Waverly, MO surrounded by his loving family.
Bob was born on December 23, 1926, at Portageville, MO to George and Hattie (Baker) Hurley. He married Lillie Eveline Hedrick of St. Louis, MO on April 20, 1944; she preceded him in death on September 9, 1981.
Survivors include one son, Jack Hurley and his wife, Jody of Odessa, MO; four daughters; Evelyn Biggerstaff and her husband, Randy of Rockingham, MO, Emma Hurley and her significant other, Lloyd Wilson of Arnold, MO, Brenda McReaken-Teed and her husband, Ken of Waverly, MO and Glenda Wood of Higginsville, MO; two brothers, John Hurley of Callao, MO and Bill Hurley and his wife, Shelby of Bonne Terre, MO; two sisters, Mary Tiger of Stroud, OK and Betty Hastings of Bell, MO; 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, Bob was preceded in death by one son who died in infancy, Robert Howell Hurley, Jr.; one brother, Jim Hurley; and one sister Mildred "Tiny" Thornton.
Bob moved from St. Louis to this area of Missouri in 1972. He had lived in Hardin, Higginsville, Bates City, Rockingham and Lexington, MO. He worked for Yellow Freight out of Kansas City, MO. He was of the Christian faith.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, MO. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8: 00 p.m., on Monday, May 30, 2011 at Thurman Funeral Home. Burial will be in Richmond Memory Gardens. Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond is in charge of the arrangements.
