ROBERT L. HEIL

Robert L. Heil, 73, of Richmond, MO died at 8:41 p.m. on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at the North Care Hospice House in North Kansas City, MO.
Bob was born on April 2, 1938 in Hardin, MO to Martin and Clara (Hartman) Heil. He married Carol Jean Hamilton of Norborne, MO on February 3, 1956; she survives of the home.
Additional survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Beth Heil of Richmond; 4 grandchildren, Eric Heil, Angie Steele and her husband, Brad, Isaac Heil and Hayden Heil; 3 great-grandchildren, Brett Heil, Mackie Steele and Lochlan Steele; one Brazilian daughter, Liliane Baraban and her husband, Paul and family of Overland Park, KS; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Clarence and Bonnie Heil of Carrollton, MO and Jay and Donna Heil of Carrollton.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by one son, Mark Heil; one daughter, Susan Heil; and one sister, Marilyn Benefiel.
Bob was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Richmond. Bob had also worked as a tool setter at the Lake City Arsenal Plant for 7 years. He was on the Hardin and Oak Grove Drainage District for several years. He had lived in the Norborne and Hardin areas most of his life
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Faith Lutheran Church in Richmond.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 21, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Faith Lutheran Church in Richmond. Visitation will be Sunday, November 20, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in the Richmond Memory Gardens.
