Bob was raised and educated in Hardin, graduating with the Hardin Central High School Class of 1969. During his school years, he enjoyed playing football, a sport he loved deeply. Later in life, he discovered a passion for golfing and cherished the time spent on the course with friends.
Bob was a pillar of the community, serving as the director of Ideal Industries, a sheltered workshop in Richmond supporting the Ray County area, for over 30 years. During his tenure, he earned numerous awards and proclamations for his exceptional leadership and dedication. He was also the beloved mayor of Hardin for 18 years, where his vision and commitment made a lasting impact.
A true advocate for individuals with special needs, Bob was known for his compassion and people-centered approach. Bob had a gift for humor, always sharing jokes and bringing laughter and smiles to those around him.
