Robin Dee Holmes, 68, of Camden, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2024, at North Kansas City Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Robin was born on May 21, 1956.  She was united in marriage to Walter Howard Holmes of Kansas City on February 2, 1974; he survives of the home.

Additional survivors include: two sons, Josh (Alissa) Holmes of Gladstone and Justin (Jenni) Holmes of Olathe, KS; five grandchildren: Riley, Anaya, Claire, Ryder, and Asher; and two great-grandchildren, Barbara and Diem.

She was preceded in death by her parents, adoptive father, Charles Shirley, brother, Scott Shirley, and Shelly Shirley.

Robin was raised and educated in the area of her birth. She spent several years in Arizona with her mother and adoptive father before returning to Missouri, where she settled.  Robin worked in various roles throughout her life, including at Fixtures in Kansas City, where she helped build furniture. She later found joy in cooking, preparing meals for residents at Blue Springs Care Center and customers at Hawthorne's Restaurant on Noland Road.  For a brief time, she also worked as a bartender at Shooter's in Blue Springs.

Robin had a passion for bringing people together through food and loved cooking meals for family and friends.  She cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren and found beauty in butterflies.  A fan of Stephen King books (the less scary ones), Robin also enjoyed playing pool, dancing, and bowling, hobbies that brought fun and laughter into her life.  Her warm spirit and vibrant personality will be deeply missed by all who know her.
