RONALD JAMES "RONNIE" CARTER

Ronald Carter, 66, of Richmond, MO died Monday, April 10, 2017 at the Selected Specialty Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas.

Ronnie was born on May 11, 1950 in Richmond to Peyton Junior and Wilma (Tracy) Carter. He married Irene Zuklin of Lundshue, Germany on September 5, 1993. She survives of the home.

Additional survivors include; his mother, Wilma Carter of Richmond; one son, Charles Carter of Lexington, MO; three daughters and one son-in-law, Tanya Adams of Lexington, Beth Ainsworth of Lexington and Rona and Benjamin Reade of Lexington; one step-son, Michael Storm of Richmond; one step-daughter, Kristy Travillion of Richmond; one brother, David Carter of Richmond; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Janet Wilson of North Kansas City, MO, Patsy and DeWayne Macey of Richmond and Karen and Kim Branson of Richmond; and 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren;

In addition to his father, Ronnie was preceded in death by one step-daughter, Michelle Lee Storm.

Ronnie was a farmer and also worked for Ray County Road and Bridge for 22 years. He was a member of the Missouri Army National Guard. He was of the Christian faith. Ronnie was a lifelong Richmond resident. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Inurnment will be at a later date.
