Ronald Dean "Ronnie" Herring, 71, of Braymer, died Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at his home.

Ronnie was born on July 6, 1950, in Chillicothe, the son of Henry Franklin and Leona Bell (Robison) Herring.  He was united in marriage to Dayna A. Waxler of Braymer on April 9, 1983.

Survivors include: his father, Henry Franklin Herring of Braymer; his wife, Dayna A. Herring of Pittsburg, KS; two sons, Josh (Ashley) Herring and Cody Herring, both of Braymer; two grandsons, Dalton Herring and Chase Herring; two brothers, Eddie (Kimberly) Herring of Excelsior Springs and Denny (Connie) Herring of Braymer; and sister, Debbie Gardner of Chillicothe.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Ronnie was reared and educated in the area of his birth and graduated from Braymer High School in the class of 1968.  After high school, he started farming with his father and continued farming throughout his life.  Ronnie also worked for several area sale barns.  He hauled cattle and had some of the best cattle dogs.  In his youth, he enjoyed bird hunting and showing livestock at the fair.  He was of the Christian faith.  Most of all, he enjoyed his family, especially spending time with his two grandsons; they were his life.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, July 11, 2022, at the Braymer Christian Church.  Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 10, 2022, at the church.  Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Braymer.  Please remember to share your memories of Ronnie with the family by visiting www.thurmanfuneralhome.com .
