Obituary

Rose Marie Adams Kent, of Richmond, Missouri, passed away last week.  Rose Marie was born in St. Joseph, Missouri, on March 6, 1944, to Marie (Killdo) and Neil Adams, Sr., of King City, Missouri.  She married Bernie Kent on October 3, 1968, and resided in Colorado, Washington State, California, Arizona and spent the last 7 years in Richmond.  Rose graduated from King City High School and attended Northwest Missouri State receiving a degree in Music Education.  She taught music and art in Colorado and Missouri, and later managed hotel properties with her husband.

Rose Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Bernie Kent; parents Marie and Neil Adams, Sr., of King City, Missouri; brother Tom Adams of Richmond, Missouri; and sister Neva Joan (Adams) Wasson of St. Louis, Missouri.  She is survived by her oldest brother, Neil Adams, Sr. who resides in Illinois with his wife, Nan, and Kathryn (Clark) Adams of Richmond, Missouri.  Her nieces and nephews are Sue (Wasson) Bohm of St. Louis, Missouri; Debbie (Adams) Kennedy of Beauford, Missouri; Julie (Adams) Day of Liberty, Missouri; and Jeffery Thomas Adams of Clinton, Missouri.  She enjoyed her great nieces and nephews; Zachary, Hannah and Noah Adams of Clinton, and Abby and Megan Day of Liberty.

Rose attended the United Christian Presbyterian Church in Richmond and was a member of the Bell Choir.  She loved her cats, Max and Milford, very much and was blessed to have wonderful neighbors.  The Adams and Day family would like to express their deep appreciation for the excellent care Rose received over the years at the Fresenius Kidney Care Dialysis Center in Richmond.

Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond handled the arrangements.  Condolences can be made online at www.thurmanfuneralhome.com .  The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the United Christian Presbyterian Church in Richmond.   At Rose's request there will be no memorial service and her cremains will be taken to Colorado.
