RUSSELL VERAL GROVE

Russell Veral Grove, 67, of Norborne, MO died at 12:12 p.m. on Friday, June 11, 2010 at the Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond, MO.
Russell was born on July 8, 1942 in Peoria, IL to William Russell and Liza Kathryn (Irons) Grove. He married Connie D. Wiederholt of St. Joseph, MO on March 27, 1982. She survives of the home.
Additional survivors include; one son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Kari Truax of Carrollton, MO, five grandchildren, Alexis Truax, Hannah Truax, Shawna Elston, Cindy and Cassidy Elston. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, Russell was preceded in death by a half sister, Ina Terry.
Russell was a Baptist. He was an Iron Worker for Keystone Wire and Steel in Peoria, IL for thirty-eight years, before retiring in 2004. He also worked at Brown's Furniture in Peoria, IL. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Viet Nam War. He was a member of the American Legion. He had lived most of his life in Peoria, IL before moving to Norborne, MO seven years ago.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 14, 2010 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral home in Richmond. Burial will be in the Hardin Cemetery. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Richmond American Legion Post #237 and the Ray County V.F.W. Post 4398.
