Known by all that loved her as Elaine, passed away peacefully beside her husband, David Timothy Myers, on August 5, 2024.  She fought a long eighteen-year battle of heart failure, a medical miracle to the many doctors that managed her care.

Elaine was preceded in death by her loving parents, Hugo and Alta Smith, sister, Betty Scrogham and nephew, Larry Smith II.

She leaves behind three siblings: Larry Smith, Lois Smith, and Huetta Snelling; five children: Jonathan Martin, Tammy (Anthony) Spires, Lisa Higgins, Keli Sunshine Dewaters, and Michael Palmerin; 14 grandchildren: Jessica (Douglas) Hoeflicker, Amanda (David Yadon) Rusell, Emily Jenkins, Tyler Hackley, Sara (Marty) Koenig, Shaniece (Joshua) Wise, Kelsey Hackley, Seth (Katie) Houston, Justin (Bailey) Higgins, Hunter Higgins, Presley Borgman, Kellen Borgman, Greyson Palmerin, and Maxton Martin; and 12 great-grandchildren.
