Obituary

Sally Leong Hutchison went to be with the Lord on October 23, 2014.  Her trip to eternal life began in 1959 when she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior.  Her faith and example lead her entire family to the salvation experience.  She was a long time member of the Lawson Baptist Church.  Sally was 86 years of age and currently resided in Sarasota, FL.  She was born in Honolulu, HI, on January 30, 1928, (at that time, a territory of the United States).  She was preceded in death by her parents, father, Yet Chong and mother, Ching See Leong.

She met the love of her life, Edward Hutchison, a handsome sailor stationed at Pearl Harbor.  They married on December 19, 1949, and were inseparable for 64 years.  They spent most of their married life in Missouri.  He survived her until he went to be with his Lord and Savior, and to join the love of his life, on November 17, 2018.

She is survived and dearly missed by her brother, William Leong of Honolulu, HI; her children Phil and Judy Hutchison of Excelsior Springs, MO, Laura and Donnie Blakely of Sarasota, FL, Mike and Cheryl Hutchison of Florissant, CO; 6 grandchildren Angela, Greg, Jeanna, Lana, Micheal, Stephanie; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Sally's generosity, humility, and love for others in life, continues; according to her wishes, her body has been donated to advance medicine through Science Care, a whole body donor program.

A dual memorial service for Edward and Sally Hutchison, per their wishes, will be held on March 30, 2019, at the Pisgah Baptist Church in Excelsior Springs, MO.  Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M., with services from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.
