SAMMY JOE RYAN

Sammy Joe Ryan, 72, of Richmond, MO died Friday, June 17, 2016 at Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond.
Sammy was born on August 4, 1943 to William Henry and Nellie Eveline (Carpenter) Ryan.
Survivors include one brother, David Murphy Ryan and his wife Patricia of Kansas City, MO; three sisters: Ruth May Dodson and her husband Norman of Independence, MO, Edna Ellen Creason and Nellie Sue Liggett both of Richmond, many nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: William Henry Ryan, Jr. and Ronald Arnold Ryan both in infancy.
Sammy lived most of his life in the Richmond area and enjoyed working at Ideal Industries. He was a member of The Church of God, now, Grace Church in Richmond. He loved Jesus, Elvis and fishing.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Grace Church in Richmond. Visitation will be from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 20, 2016 at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. On line condolences may be left on our website at www.thurmanfuneralhome.com
