Sarah Marie Campbell, 79, of Rayville, died Friday, January 8, 2021, at her granddaughter's home in Excelsior Springs.
Sarah was born on August 17, 1941, in Carrollton, the daughter of Edward O. and Ida Mae (Luce) Brockert. She was united in marriage to Allen C. Campbell, Sr., of Rayville on August 22, 1959; he preceded her in death on September 27, 1995.
Survivors include: two sons, Allen C. Campbell, Jr. of Rayville, and Ronald W. Campbell of Rayville; two daughters, Ethel Faye (James, Sr.) Dunlap of Richmond and Elizabeth (Jerry) Taylor of Rayville; brother, William Brockert of Warsaw; two sisters, Velma Goetz of Rayville, and Pat Adkins of Cumberlin, TN; 10 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents, husband, son, James Allen Campbell, brother, Clarence Brockert, two sisters, Roberta Manka and Ida Louise Goetz, grandson, James D. Moore, and two great-grandchildren, Samuel Allen Taylor, and Dustin Stevenson.
Sarah was reared and educated in the Rayville schools. She was a lover of animals and she loved her children and grandchildren dearly. Sarah was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Rayville. She loved going to Country Pickin's and the Eagleton Center.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association. They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 East Main Street-P.O. Box 190, Richmond, MO 64085.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 15, 2021, at Calvary Baptist Church in Rayville. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in Crowley Cemetery, Rayville.
