Shannon Irene Hall, 81, of Kansas City, MO, died on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at New Mark Care Center in Kansas City.

Shannon was born on July 13, 1937, in Colby, KS, to Thomas and Helen (Salisbury) Dean.  She was united in marriage to Ronald G. Hall of Pattonsburg; he preceded her in death in 2008.

Survivors include one daughter: Laurie Facklam (Ron) of Kansas City, MO; two grandchildren: Jared (Melissa) Brucker and Shanna Holt; six great-grandchildren: Macenzy, Nicholas, Madyson, Marley, Alyssa, and Hunter; one brother: Freddie Dean also survives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers Tommy and Johnny, three sisters: Mary, Peggy, and her twin sister Sharon.

Shannon was a well-loved cook at the Excelsior Springs High School for many years.  The kids called her grandma Shannon, she was always there to help them in any way she could.  She donated to all their causes, especially the football team, and paid for many of the kids' meals that did not have the money.  Her family and her school kids were her life.  In the past, she had been active with her husband in the Shriners.

The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Shriner's Hospitals for Children.  They can be dropped off or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 East Main Street-P.O. Box 190, Richmond, MO.
