SHARON L. MARTIN

Sharon L. Martin, 73, of Richmond, MO died at 5:44 a.m., on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond.
Sharon was born on August 21, 1938 in Kansas City, MO to Cleo Wray and Annabelle Edith (Gee) Fox. She married Harold F. Martin of Richmond on October 29, 1979; he survives of the home.
Additional survivors include three daughters and one son-in-law, Cindy L. Seely of Smithville, MO, Sheri A. Watkins of Hardin, MO and Julie Kramer and her husband, Eric of Richmond; 16 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Janice Barr of Loveland, CO and Leanne Hill of Loveland, CO; one step-son, Duane Martin and his wife, Wendy of Houstonia, MO; two step-daughters, Karon Martin of Columbia, MO and Melody Martin of Wellington, MO; one brother-in-law, Robert Christoffel of Colorado Springs, CO; one sister-in-law, Helga Fox of Sierra Vista, AZ and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl Fox and Bill Fox; and three sisters, Kathy Fox, Connie Richardson and Barbara Christoffel.
Sharon was a homemaker. She was a member of the Cowgill First Baptist Church. She had lived in Liberty before moving to Richmond in 1972. She had worked at the Ray County Memorial Hospital, Ford Motor Company and American Wilcon for several years. She was a member of the God Squad and was very active in all of her church activities. Sharon volunteered for the Ray County Salvation Army.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Cowgill First Baptist Church or to God Squad.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 28, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Sunday, August 28, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home. Inurnment will be at a later date at the Hickory Grove Cemetery, northeast of Richmond
