SHIRLEY ANN HARTMAN

Shirley Ann Hartman, 75, of Richmond, MO died Sunday, August 23, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Shirley was born on February 21, 1940 in Ray County, MO to Luther and Ruth (Gilbow) Derstler. She married Harold E. Hartman of Lawson, MO on December 29, 1961. He preceded her in death on December 25, 2006.

Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Joel R. and Sharma Hartman of Overland Park, KS and John L. Hartman of Richmond; one daughter and son-in-law, Joy L. and Bruce Caraway of Lawson, MO; one brother and sister-in-law, Vernon and Peggy Derstler of Blue Springs, MO; 5 grandchildren and their spouses, Angela and Joe Beissenherz, Amy and Edward Tungol, Cody and Emily Caraway, Brad Hartman and Andrew Hartman; and 4 great-grandchildren, Alyssa Beissenherz, Naomi Beissenherz, Hannah Caraway and Logan Tungol.

In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Wayne Derstler.

Shirley was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith. She had lived in Richmond most of her life. Shirley loved singing, playing music and spending time with her family.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Ray County Transportation.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 26, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond.
