SHIRLEY ANN WIRSIG
Shirley Ann Wirsig, 77, of Richmond, MO died Thursday, January 18, 2018 at the Excelsior Springs Hospital in Excelsior Springs, MO.
Shirley was born on November 6, 1940 in Richland, MO to Robert Uhl and Martha Viola (Shriner) Porter. She married Norman L. Wirsig of Deepwater, MO on October 25, 1969. He survives of the home.
Additional survivors include; two sons and two daughters-in-law, Jeff and Amy Wirsig of Richmond and Kenny and Christal Wirsig of Odessa, MO; one daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Jeff Arbogast of Richmond; one sister, Virginia "Jenny" Porter of Lexington, MO; 9 grandchildren, Justin Wirsig (Kayla), Ashley Wirsig, Makayla Wirsig, Lindsey Arbogast, Brandon Arbogast, Kasi Arbogast, Ava Wirsig, Lily Wirsig, Linkin Wirsig and Clayton Farmer; and two great-grandchildren, Carsin Wirsig and Raife Beardshear.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond Porter, Jack Porter and Bob Porter; and five sisters, Dorothy Lee, Maxine Burton, Mary Jane Root, Arvella Hall and Grace Shaeffer.
Shirley was a homemaker. She ran Wirsig Greenhouse north of Richmond for 20 years. She loved spending time with her grandkids and enjoyed watching them play sports. Shirley loved her flowers where she always had beautiful flower beds. She liked gardening and canning. She lived in the Richmond area most of her life. Shirley was of the Baptist faith.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Donor's choice.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Monday, January 22, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in the Wakenda Cemetery north of Hardin, MO.
