Shonda was born on May 30, 1968, in Richmond, the daughter of Norman Lee and Linda Lea (Kienitz) McGaugh.
Survivors include: her mother, Linda McGaugh of Richmond; two daughters, Melissa Manley (Dustin Eckert) of Richmond and Harley Mackey (Bo Myers) of Creve Coeur, IL; two grandchildren, Elexus Manley and Riddoc Myers; two brothers, Travis (Kathy) McGaugh of Richmond and Trent (Jessica) McGaugh of Rayville; nieces and nephews: Hannah (Stephan) Murray, Tyler (Haley) McGaugh, Bailey (Max) Blair, Kaylea McGaugh, Paige McGaugh, and Tristan McGaugh; many great nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her father, Norman Lee McGaugh, Shonda was preceded in death by her brother, Shannon McGaugh, and sister, Misty Nolker.
Shonda was a woman of God whose unwavering faith was strong enough to move mountains. She lived her life with conviction, never afraid to speak her mind or stand up for what she believed in. Known for her outspoken nature and strong voice, Shonda was a woman who made her presence known and always stayed true to herself. She had a special love for flowers, especially lilies and sunflowers, which were among her favorites. Above all, Shonda's greatest joy in life was her family. She loved each of them wholeheartedly and devoted herself to those she held dear. Being a mother and Grammy was one of her greatest blessings, and she poured her heart into both roles. Shonda will be remembered for her steadfast faith, strong spirit, and the unconditional love she had for her family. To those who knew and loved her, she truly was the best mom and Grammy anyone could ask for.
