He has gone to be with his Lord
Stanley was born in Detroit Michigan, passed away at North Care Hospice House in North Kansas City, MO.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of 53 years; his three sons, Stanley, Jr of Kansas City, MO, Dale Edward of Richmond, MO and Raymond Lee of Richmond; one sister, Karen Burns and her husband, Delbert of Ottumwa, IA; 7 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Vernon Wilhite; his nephew, Jeff Burns; his mother, Lois L. Pool; step-father, Jake E. Poole; his father, LeRoy Wilhite and step-mother, Mary.
Stan served in the U.S. Marines for 4 ½ years. 18 years in the Missouri National Guards at the 129 th service battalion in Richmond. He and his wife owned and operated Terrace Hill Plaza Cleaners in Ottumwa, IA for 8 years when they lived there. When living in Missouri, he worked for Jack Miller Chrysler/Plymouth as a mechanic and then manager of the body shop. Stan loved to fish, go deer hunting and ride his motorcycle. Stan loved to be with his family and friends. He was a member of the Richmond Christian Chapel.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Stanley Royce Wilhite memorial fund.
Stanley's body was cremated. A celebration of life will be at the Richmond Christian Chapel. Inurnment will be at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO all at a later date.
