Steven Dale Clark, 53, of Richmond, died unexpectedly Thursday, April 18, 2019, at his home in Richmond.

Steven was born on December 17, 1965, in Clay County, the son of Jesse J. and Barbara L. (McBride) Clark, Jr.

Survivors include: his significant other, Valerie Jean Jenkins of Richmond; his mother, Barbara White of St. Joseph; four sons: Shane M. (Amber) Clark of Lee's Summit, Jessie E. Clark and Steven G. Clark both of Independence, and Braydon E. Clark of the home; one daughter, Angelia R. Clark of Independence; one step-son, Nicholas Orwick of Independence; two brothers: Jerry (Susie) Clark of Odessa and Jimmy Joe Clark of Excelsior Springs; one sister, Elizabeth Clark of Olathe, KS; and two grandchildren: Dayton Clark and Bentley Clark.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Steven was educated and grew up in Gladstone.  He worked as a truck driver and lived in Richmond for the past year.  Steven loved music, playing guitar, motorcycles, cars, and his family.
