STEVEN "KEM" DAVIS

Steven "Kem" Davis, 62, of rural Richmond, MO died January 26, 2018 at his home.

Kem was born on October 29, 1955 in Alamance County, North Carolina, the son of Jimmy Davis and Joyce (Mundy) Hicks. He was united in marriage to Debra (Debbie) Renner on September 5, 1982; she survives of the home.

Additional survivors include: 3 daughters: Tara Eidson and her husband Justin of Richmond, MO, Rebecca Davis (Steven Ford) of Richmond and Megan Davis (Travis Sutton) of Richmond; 4 grandchildren: Preston Jones, Vivian Ford, Elli Sutton and Liam Sutton; his parents, H.J. and Joyce Hicks of Graham, NC; one half-brother, Jay Hicks of Stone Mountain, GA; one half-sister, Jaime Davis of North Carolina and one son, Timmy Davis of North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Davis, paternal grandmother, Ruby Davis; brother, Zane Davis and two half-brothers, Rodney Way and Doug Davis.

Kem was raised and educated in North Carolina. In the early 80's he moved to the Richmond area, where he met his wife, Debbie. Kem was self-employed and owned and operated his own drywall business. He enjoyed car shows and restoration of old cars. He restored 2 cars and a truck which was a work in progress. He also enjoyed family camping trips. He especially loved his grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 2, 2018 at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be one hour prior to services starting at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
