STEVEN DOUGLAS HENRY
Steven Douglas Henry, 50, of Richmond, MO died at 12:45 p.m. on Friday, September 24, 2010 at North Kansas City Hospital.
Douglas was born on January 21, 1960 in Richmond, MO to James E. and Carol J. (Raasch) Henry.
Survivors include; his father, Jim Henry of Richmond, his mother, Carol Henry of Richmond; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Kirby Henry of Richmond and Craig and Stacy Henry of Richmond; one niece, Cady Henry; one nephew, Cody Henry; two aunts and uncle, Bob and Claire Raasch, Billie Spear; cousins, Jonathan Raasch and his wife, Kristi and Jason Raasch and his wife, Stephanie.
Douglas was a heavy equipment operator for Capital Sand. He previously worked for Yellow Freight in Kansas City and Hockemeier Farms in Henrietta, MO. He was a member of the Crooked River bass Masters Club. He was a baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church, where he was a member of the Richmond faith Lutheran Church. He was a 1978 graduate of Richmond High School. He was a lifelong Richmond resident.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the Faith Lutheran Church or the American Legion Post #237.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, September 27, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Richmond Faith Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2010 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Richmond Faith Lutheran Church. Inurnment will be in the Lutheran Cemetery north of Norborne, MO at a later date.
