Susann A. Logsdon, 85, of Richmond, died Saturday, June 9, 2018 at North Kansas City Hospital.

Susann was born on November 19, 1932 in Preston, Mo, to Elijah and Cora (Charleston) Steely.  She married William Logsdon in May of 1951 and he survives of the home.

Survivors include: two sons, Tim (Sarah) Logsdon, Richmond and Arch (Sheila) Logsdon, Richmond; two daughters, Debra (Forrest) Eaton, Richmond and Dottie (Rick) Johnson, Richmond; 8 grandchildren: Billy Logsdon, Tim (Heather) Logsdon, Brandy True, Luke (Michelle) Logsdon, Ashley Logsdon, Tony Johnson, Adam Logsdon and Austin Logsdon; 10 great grandchildren: Steven Logsdon, Lacey Logsdon, Blake Logsdon, Emma True, Trent Logsdon, Paige Logsdon, Avery Logsdon, Zachary Garrison, Addie Logsdon and Taylee Logsdon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Billy Steely and Tom Steely and one grandson, Josh Garrison.

Susann was raised and educated in Preston and graduated high school in Kansas City.  They moved to Richmond in 1963.  Bill continued to work at GM and she raised their children and helped out on their farm northeast of Richmond, near Hickory Grove.  Susann was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother and for a brief time, an AT&T switchboard operator.  She was of the Christian faith.  Susann loved bowling, traveling, collecting thimbles, buttons and hat pins and was a known "professional shopper" and enjoyed attending auctions.

The family suggests memorial contributions in memory of Susann be made to the Ray County Humane Society.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond.  Burial will follow in the Hickory Grove Cemetery, northeast of Richmond.  On line condolences may be made to the family at www.thurmanfuneralhome.com .
