Suzanne (Richeson) Yutzy, 70, of Independence, died Friday, November 9, 2018, at CenterPoint Medical Center in Independence.

Suzanne was born on October 24, 1948 in Lindsay, OK, to Howard C. and Grace (Clemens) Richeson.  Suzanne was united in marriage to Daniel Yutzy of Independence, on June 6, 2015.  He survives of the home.

Additional survivors include: one son: Jared Grauberger and his wife Tara of Lee's Summit; one daughter: Jenny Oehlschlaeger and her husband Jeff of Blue Springs; one step-son, Steven Yutzy and his wife Sara of Independence; one step-daughter, Jenny Moore and her husband Jeff of Independence; 11 grandchildren: Jake, Joshua, Drew, Kelsey, Carter, Sean, Lexi, Sierra, Ava, Lukas, and Logan; and her step-mother Mary Lou Richeson of Richmond.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Suzanne was reared and educated in Richmond and graduated from the Richmond High School in 1966.  After high school, she attended college in Independence to be a Radiology Technician.  Over the years, she had worked at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City and Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond, as a Radiology Tech.  She retired in 2014.  She loved her family and grandkids.  She especially loved animals and it didn't matter what type of animal it was, she loved and cared for them all.  She was of the Christian faith.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home.  Interment will follow in Richmond Memory Gardens.  Please share your memories with the family of Suzanne by visiting www.thurmanfuneralhome.com .
