SYBIL MANLEY WALTER
Sybil Manley Walter, 90, of Excelsior Springs, MO, and formerly of Rayville, MO, died at 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 1, 2009 at the Excelsior Springs Nursing and Rehab Center.
Sybil was born on July 27, 1918 in Rayville, MO to William F. and Josephine (Hill) Hankins. She was first married to Gerald E. Manley of Rayville, MO and then later to Raymond Walter from Nebraska. They both preceded her in death.
Survivors include; one son and daughter-in-law, William E. and Cathy Manley of Excelsior Springs, MO; one daughter, Geraldine Brown of Lawson, MO; nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and seven great-great- grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Sybil was preceded in death by her special friend and companion, Johnny Bowman.
Sybil was a member of the Rayville Christian Union Church. She had lived most of her life in Rayville before moving to Excelsior Springs, MO in 2002.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Rayville Christian Union Church memorial fund.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, MO. Visitation will from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, MO. Burial will be in the Dockery Cemetery in Dockery, MO. Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, MO is in charge of the arrangements.
