TERRY RAY SLATTON

Terry Ray Slatton, 56, of Henrietta, MO died Thursday, January 26, 2017 at his home in Henrietta.

Terry was born on July 1, 1960 in Newton, IA to Franklin D. and Betty June (Smith) Slatton.

Survivors include; his companion, Rebecca Fields of the home; one son, James Houston Slatton and his wife, Valerie of Chillicothe, MO; two brothers, Fred Slatton of Pella, IA and Charles Slatton of Kellogg, IA; and two sisters, Sharel Simbro of Reasnor, IA and Bertha Hanson (Craig) of Nashua IA; 4 grandchildren; one step-son, Anthony Fields of St. Joseph, MO; and three step-daughters, Tiffany Fields of Gladstone, MO, Lisa Carter of Gladstone and Elizabeth Moran and her husband, Thomas of Liberty, MO.

In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by one brother, Frankie Slatton.

Terry was reared and educated from Newton, IA where he graduated.  He worked at Wilcox Plastics in Orrick, MO.  He lived the last 25 years in Henrietta. Terry enjoyed fishing and playing pool.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Crossroads Hospice.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Monday, January 30, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond.  Inurnment will be at a later date.
