THOMAS W. ALDER
Thomas W. Alder, 69, of Richmond, MO, died Friday, June 7, 2013 at KU Medical Center, in Kansas City.
Tom was born on April 14, 1944 in Billings, MT to Vernon and Blanche (Hoyer) Alder. He married Sandra Gayle Macey of Richmond, MO on November 24, 1962; she preceded him in death on June 22, 2011.
Survivors include: three daughters, Cathy Berra and her husband Ken of Overland Park, KS, Caroline Rogers and her husband Ed of Stilwell, KS, and Susan Chapman and her husband Bill of Independence, MO, one sister, Sister Helen Alder of Kansas City, MO; 6 grandchildren, Elizabeth and Andrew Berra, Phillip and Zac Rogers and Jacob and Sophia Chapman.
Tom was a member of the Richmond Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Richmond. He was owner and operator of Tom Alder Painting and Wall Papering in Richmond for several years. He was a member of the Richmond All Sports Club. He had lived in Richmond most of his life.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Richmond Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Richmond Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 10, 2013 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
