Thomas "Tom" Edward Grimm, 71, of Knoxville, died unexpectedly Friday, December 14, 2018 at Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond.

Tom was born on December 10, 1947 in Cedar Rapids, IA, the son of Charles and Irene (Cunningham) Grimm.  He was united in marriage to Kathryn "Kathy" Ann Schulte of Kansas City, on September 26, 1970; she survives of the home.

Additional survivors include: one son, Scott and his wife Amy of Parkville; one daughter, Stephanie DePrenger and her husband Dylan of Kearney; four grandchildren: Addison Grimm, Lexi Grimm, Stella DePrenger and Mac DePrenger and one sister, Judy.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Pam.

Tom was reared and educated in Kansas City and moved to the Knoxville area in 1977.  Tom was a production worker for the Owens Corning Fiberglass Plant in Fairfax, Kansas and worked there from 1969 until 2001 when he retired.  Tom has always enjoyed farming and raising cattle.  After he retired, he took his agriculture interests to the next level.  Tom was known to be a great advisor to his family and friends.  People would stop by to get his input about farming and other related interests or just to talk.
