Obituary

Thomas Paul Green, a resident of Richmond, MO, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Liberty Hospital.

Tom was born on March 4, 1950, in El Dorado, KS, the son of Thomas Robert Green and Martha Francis (Petty) Green. He served in the US Army from 1970 to 1973 and then served as head of maintenance at Job Corps in Excelsior Springs, MO.

He served as a volunteer fire fighter and fire investigator. He was the current president of the Ray-Clay Radio Club and a member and past president of Faith Lutheran Church, Richmond.

Tom is survived by his wife, Rachelle Ireland Green, two children, Sybol Green and David Hart of Oklahoma, two brothers, Richard and David Green, and two step daughters, Cheyenne Ireland and Crystal Ireland. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.

The family suggest memorial donations be made to the Tom Green Memorial Fund. They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home PO Box 190/507East Main St Richmond, MO 64085.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on July 21, 2026, at Faith Lutheran Church, 805 E Lexington St., Richmond. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
