THOMAS P. MILLSAP

Thomas P. Millsap, 91, of Richmond, MO, died at 1:34 a.m., Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Truman Medical Center, Kansas City, MO.
Tom was born December 11, 1918 in Camden, MO to Albert and Sallie (Cruse) Millsap. He married Dora A. Davis of Camden on May 9, 1940; she survives, of the home.
Other survivors include one son, R. M. Millsap of Rayville, MO; one daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Bruce White of Richmond; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Bobby Millsap of Schertz, TX, Bert and Grace Millsap of Trenton, MO and Phillip and Cleo of Millsap of Harrison, AR; one sister, Mae Smithey of Richmond; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sons, Larry Millsap and Dwight Millsap; and three sisters, Ruth Marvene Noland and Phyllis Jane Millsap and Emma Tillie Millsap, who both died in infancy.
Tom was a farmer, and also a crane operator. He had lived in the Richmond area most of his life. He was a member of the Camden United Methodist Church, where he served as Deacon. He was a member of the Engineer's Union #101 in Kansas City, Richmond Masonic Lodge, Richmond Shrine Club, where he served as Past President, the Ararat Temple and the Richmond VFW Post #4398. He was a past board member of the Camden High School. He was a 4-H leader. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children in St. Louis, MO.

Funeral services will be Saturday, December 4, at 11:00 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, MO. Visitation will be Saturday, December 4, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, MO. Masonic services will be held at 10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral service. Inurnment will be in Richmond Memory Gardens, Richmond, MO, at a later date. Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, MO is in charge of the arrangements.
