Thomas Wayne Wright of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on October 5, 2024.

Born on October 28th, 1945, to Ethel and Robert Wright.

He carried a quiet, kind, and giving spirit throughout his life, profoundly impacting those around him. He was a man that cared for every person and helped many, many people over the years. Thomas attended Wathena High and furthered his education at Northwest Missouri State University. He married Beverly Garland in 1972 and adopted her son James Christopher. Tom was a loving father who never missed a baseball game or recital.

He was a self-employed business owner since the 1970s dedicating many years to his business with a strong sense of duty and commitment.

Thomas served in the Army National Guard, being honorably discharged in 1974.

He is preceded in death by his son, James Christopher Wright and his sister, Bobbi Kay Lindauer.

Surviving Thomas are his brother-in-law, Larry Lindauer, nephews, Kevin Lindauer and Kelly Lindauer, and Beverly Garland and family.

A Memorial service to honor his life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, November 22, 2024, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond.  Thomas's legacy will live on in the of hearts of those who knew him, his love to help his fellow man, and his presence will be sorely missed by all those who were touched by his life.  Please remember to share your memories of Thomas with the family by visiting www.thurmanfuneralhome.com.
