TROY L. MAYFIELD

Troy L. Mayfield, 70 of Kearney, MO died Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Liberty Hospital.
Troy was born on September 11, 1942 in Salinas, CA to Orland and Geneva (Shaw) Mayfield. He married Doris M. Hogan of Norborne, MO on April 24, 1965; she survives of the home.
Additional survivors include his father and step-mother, Orland and Earlene Mayfield of Thornfield, MO; one son and daughter-in-law, Troy Michael and Sandy Mayfield of Kearney, MO; one daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Mike Bellman of Kansas City, MO; 7 grandchildren, Joshua , Benjamin , Hannah, Leah and Rachel Mayfield. Brett and Grace Bellman; two brothers and two sisters-in-law, Leroy and Sonda Mayfield of Cottage Grove, OR and Orland "Buddy" and Gloria Mayfield of San Jose, CA; and one sister, Lois Cloutier of Nixa, MO.
Troy was preceded in death by his mother.
Troy was a custodian at the Norborne Elementary School for 25 years before retiring in 2003. He was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Liberty, MO. He had lived in Norborne before moving to Kearney in 2007. He started a home business of buying and selling power wheels riding toys. Troy was a United States Navy Veteran.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Thursday, October 4, 2012 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond.
