VERA BOWMAN

Vera Bowman, 83, of Carrollton, Mo, died on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at the Fitzgibbons Hospital in Marshall, Mo.

Vera was born on August 26, 1931 in Carrollton, Mo to John A. and Mary Lucille (Albrecht) Henderson. She married Harold H. "Harry" Bowman of the Rockingham Community on January 12, 1952. He preceded her in death on June 25, 2008.

Survivors include; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Bill Ward of Norborne, Mo and Katie and Rick Seek of Norborne, Mo; two sisters, Gladys Webb of Norborne, Mo and Verna Melville of Norborne, Mo; five grandchildren and their spouses, Kelly and Shawn Leppert, Angie Braesch, Emily Bowman, Caleb and Lexie Seek and Nikki Seek; six great-grandchildren, Ruger and Roman Leppert, Kyla and Kaelan Braesch, Axell and Cohin Seek; one daughter-in-law, Connie Bowman of Bogard, Mo also survives.

In addition to her parents and husband, Vera was preceded in death by one son, Harold Alan Bowman; and one daughter, Linda Kay Bowman.

Vera was a homemaker. She was a member of the O.E.S. She was an avid bowler and golfer. She enjoyed gardening and watching her martins. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Vera was of the Christian faith. She lived most of her life in Carrollton.

The family suggest memorial contributions be made to either the Alzheimer's Association or to the Wakenda Cemetery.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Norborne, Mo. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Norborne, Mo. Burial will be in the Wakenda Cemetery, north of Hardin, Mo.
