Vicky Lynn Simpson, 63, of Richmond, passed away Friday, July 12, 2024, at North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City, MO.

Vicky was born on September 20, 1960, in Calhoun City, MS, the daughter of Wallace and Frances (Lancaster) Goodson.  She was united in marriage to Brian E. Simpson of Richmond, MO, on June 12, 1988; he survives the home.

Additional survivors include: three sons: Tony (Amanda) Goodson of Munford, TN, Timothy Hudspeth of Senatobia, MS, and Michael (Scarlet) Hudspeth of Sarah, MS; 13 grandchildren: Amber, Trinity, and Sean Goodson, Cooper and Tyler Bynum, Christopher, Johnathan, Nikki, Michael, Aiden, Averee, Amaya, and Arabella Hudspeth; and sister, Debbie (Bubba) Starnes of Drummonds, TN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter, Alana Hudspeth, and two sisters, Connie Boozer and Lisa Bollinger.

Vicky was reared and educated in the area of her birth and graduated high school from Calhoun City, MS. She met the love of her life while working in Sardis, MS, and it was truly love at first sight. Vicky dedicated her career to caring for others, working as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Liberty Terrace Nursing Home and later at Ideal Industries in Richmond, MO.

Her greatest joy came from spending time with her beloved grandchildren, cherishing every moment she had with them. Vicky had a passion for playing bingo and loved the thrill of lottery scratch tickets, often sharing these hobbies with friends and family. Her warm smile and loving nature will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
