Virginia Jane Rinkenbaugh
Born November 28, 1924 in Tina MO
Went to be with the Father Thursday December 3, 2009
She was preceded in death by her parents Scy Milton and Jennie Maud Thompson, a brother William McClain, a daughter Caroline Rinkenbaugh, and her husband Roland Rinkenbaugh who passed April 14 1995.
Virginia married Roland Rinkenbaugh October 23, 1943 and has been a resided in Ray County for more than 70 years. She was an employee at Lake City Arsenal and later at Whitaker Cable.
Virginia was born again into the Christian Faith May 1, 1980 she was a source of strength to many people.
She loved her many pets (her babies) she enjoyed traveling, fishing and mushroom hunting.
Virginia is survived by 4 children: Katherine Neff of Plantersville TX, Janny Nelson of Centerview MO, Glenda Smith of Warrensburg MO, John Rinkenbaugh and wife Cheryl of Camden MO.
1 brother - Harold McClain and his wife Marilyn of Greenridge MO.
11 grandchildren: Stacy York Navasota TX, Bret Neff and wife Cara Houston TX, Doug Nelson Montreal MO, Rex Nelson and wife Audrey Mayview MO, Jason Nelson and wife Annette Centerview MO, Dana Wrisinger and husband Brian Richmond MO, Dezara Nelson Warrensburg MO, Jenny Johnson Grandpass MO, Jona Still and husband Bill Richmond MO, Amber Lindley and husband Robert Richmond MO, Maggie Heil and husband Aaron Norborne MO.
She leaves behind 18 great grand children and one great great grandchild. She was loved and called grandma by many others as well.
A celebration of her life will be held 1:00 Tuesday afternoon at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond MO. Family and friends viewing will be held 7-8 Monday night at Thurman's Funeral Home.
