WALTER W. "PUTT" ALLRED

Walter W. "Putt" Allred, 91, of Henrietta, MO died Sunday, November 10, 2013 at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.
Walter was born on August 19, 1922 in Nine, MO to William J. and Martha E. (Dixon) Allred. He married Cleta Mae Richardson of Richmond, MO on April 17, 1946; she survives of Henrietta.
Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Daniel L. Allred of Richmond, MO and Charles E. and Pearl Allred of Richmond; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary J. and Arnold Ryun of Deepwater, MO; one brother and sister-in-law, Wesley and Mildred Allred of Phoenix, AZ; 10 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, Walter was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Charles Allred, Tom Allred, John Allred and Alfred Allred; two sisters, Sarah Ellen Allred and Ada Wilkens; one grandson, Christopher Keith Ryun; and one great granddaughter, Kalynn Dowdle. He was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Martha Allred.
Walter worked for the Garney Construction Company for several years. He had also worked at By Products in Henrietta. Walter was of the Christian faith. He had lived most of his life in Henrietta.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Thursday, November 14, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in the Hickory Grove Cemetery, northeast of Richmond.
