WILBUR L. REEEVES

Wilbur Reeves, 94, of Richmond, MO, died at 7:35 p.m., on Saturday, September 25, 2010, at the Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond, MO.
Mr. Reeves was born July 7, 1916 in rural Stet, MO to Arthur Floyd and Etta Mae (O'Dell) Reeves. He married Mabel G. Van Soest of Strasburg, ND on July 3, 1939; she survives of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Lowell D. Reeves and his wife Emelda of Dickson, TN and Gary L. Reeves and his wife Gloria of Kearney, MO; one daughter Velda J. Conard and her husband Richard of Kearney, MO; one sister Wilma Ford of Stet, MO; 3 grandchildren Robert Conard, Darrel Reeves and Tonya Hays; one step-granddaughter Amanda Bishop; 4 great-grandchildren Jenna Conard, Paige Conard, Jordan Hays and Taylor Hays, and 3 step-great-grandchildren Aleah Tores, Amiya Tores and Aidan Bishop.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Edwin Reeves and Robert Reeves, two sisters Thelma Wheat and Flossie McElwee.
Wilbur worked for Ford Motor Company for 27 years until he retired in 1979. Wilbur also enjoyed farming on his farm north of Hardin, MO where he lived for 54 years before moving to Richmond in 2008. He was a member of the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 29, at 10:30 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, MO. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 28 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, MO. Burial will be in Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery, Richmond, MO.
