WILLIAM L. BOST

Bill was called home to be with his LORD on June 26, 2012 at the Cameron Regional Hospital in Cameron, MO.
Bill was born in Beecher City, Ill on February 9, 1936 to Rev. O.L. and Altha (Williams) Bost. Upon graduating from Henrietta High School in 1954 he joined the United States Navy and traveled the world aboard the USS Essex and was a veteran of the Korean War. On August 24, 1969 he married June (Peters) Bost who survives of the home in Polo, MO. Mr. Bost was a bookkeeper and Office Manager at Wollard Motor Company in Richmond for 18 years before he and June started their own business. He retired in 1991, and in 1997 they moved to Forsyth, MO; then in 2008 he moved to Polo to be near family. Bill was a member of the American Legion and the VFW and was a very proud of his country and the support the VA gave the veterans.
Bill loved water skiing, snow skiing, watching sports on television, listening to gospel music and for many years a highlight of his was attending the National Quartet Convention in Tennessee. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with family.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his mother in-law, Mary Peters of the home; one son, Randy Bost and his wife, Sharon and granddaughter, Jessica of Peoria, AZ; daughter, Kyla (Bost) Griffin and her husband, Josh of Excelsior Springs, MO; two grandsons, Sid and John Bost of Polo; three sisters, Bonnie Seward of Richmond, Betty Calabrese of Sand Springs, OK and Cathy Johnston of Kansas City, MO; two brothers, David Bost of Gravois Mills, MO and Jim Bost of Kansas City, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Bob and Herschel Bost; son, Brian Glen Bost and grandson, Steven Tyler Bost.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the VFW Post #4398 in Richmond.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Lexington Memory Gardens Cemetery in Lexington.
