WILLIAM LEE "BILLY" STEPHENS

William Lee "Billy" Stephens, 45, of Rayville, MO died Friday, January 29, 2016 at his home.

William Lee Stephens was born on February 10, 1970 in Kansas City, MO the only child of Eldon and Kathy (Howard) Stephens. He married Cheri L. Johnson of Kansas City, MO on June 11, 1988; she survives of the home.

Additional survivors include: six sons, Brett Stephens of Rayville, Cody Stephens (Leah) of Rayville, Troy Stephens of Rayville, Dustin Niehouse, Kansas City, MO, Aaron Stephens (Brittney) of Rayville and Dylan Niehouse of Kansas City, MO; two daughters, Brandi Racy (Cole) of Excelsior Springs, MO, Crystal Stephens of Chillicothe, MO and 9 Grandchildren.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents.

Billy was raised and educated in Kansas City, MO and had been a resident of Rayville since 2001. He was a self -employed mechanic working out of his home garage in Rayville. He enjoyed cars, his family and motorcycles. Billy was one of those guys who were always there when you needed a hand, whether you were family, friends, or a complete stranger. He will be missed by all who knew him.

The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the William Lee "Billy" memorial fund.

Memorial services will be 7:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, MO. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home prior to services. On-line condolences may be left to the family via our website at www.thurmanfuneralhome.com
