WILLIAM THOMAS "TOM" ADAMS

William Thomas "Tom" Adams, 72, of Norborne, MO, died Monday, March 3, 2014 at Liberty Hospital, Liberty, MO.
Tom was born on March 15, 1941 in Norborne to John Thomas and Mary Elizabeth (Wilts) Adams, Sr. He married Judy A. Mullnix of Norborne on September 23, 1967; she survives of the home.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Amy Adams of Gower, MO, Bill and Sharon Adams of Kansas City, MO and John and Chris Adams of Blue Springs, MO; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and David W. Ford of Carrollton, MO and Teresa and Zach Ornelas of Liberty, MO; one brother, John Francis Adams of New Haven, MO; one sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Thomas Lagemann of New Haven, MO; and 12 grandchildren also survive.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by one grandbaby that died in infancy.
Tom was a 1959 graduate from Norborne High School. He was a United States Army Veteran. Tom was a custodian at the Norborne High School for 36 years before retiring in 2007. Tom had also worked at Cunningham-Beckemeier Lumber Company, before working at the school. Tom was the family handyman when things needed to be done and enjoyed woodworking. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was on the Sacred Heart Cemetery Board. Tom had lived in Norborne most of his life. He was an organ donor.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made either to the Sacred Heart Cemetery or the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 7, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norborne. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2014 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, MO where the rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery southeast of Norborne where military honors will be provided by the Pence-Lovell-England V.F.W.
