WILLIAM "JIM" WYSE
William James Jacob "Jim" Wyse, 76, of Orrick, MO, died on Friday, February 2, 2018, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Jim was born on February 27, 1941 in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan, to Glenn Henry Wyse and Rephilia Estella (Clearwater) Stanton. He married Dianne Elaine Matthews of Excelsior Springs, MO on February 19, 1966. They later divorced and she preceded him in death on March 30, 2002.
Survivors include: one daughter, Teresa Arnold and her husband Michael of Orrick; one son, Todd Wyse and his wife Lori of Orrick; 4 grandchildren: Malorie (Matt) Severn, Kaitlin Arnold, Tanner Wyse and Cara Wyse; one brother, Glenn (Connie) Wyse of Buckner, MO; nieces and nephews: Ralph D., Debbie, Billy, Trisha, Scott, Eric, Ralph E., Glenn Jr., Kathy, Robin and James, and his beloved cat, Missy.
In addition to his parents and ex-wife, Jim was preceded in death by two sisters, Miriam Blackburn and JoAnn (DeAnn) Braswell; two brothers, Danny Wyse and Dennis Wyse; step-father, Carl Stanton and nephew, Lonnie Braswell.
Jim graduated from Orrick High School in 1961. He then served his country in the United Stated Marine Corp. Reserves. He was a member of the UAW Local #249 and spent 42 years with Ford Motor Company. He was a bus driver for the Orrick School District for 20 plus years. He was also the past President and baseball coach for the Orrick Little League. Jim was a member of the Orrick Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Orrick High School Marching Band or the Orrick Baptist Church Casserole Ministry.
Funeral services will be Monday, February 5, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be one hour prior to service on Monday, February 5, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in South Point Cemetery near Orrick.
